ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
All bookings for the hall will be vetted by the Village Hall Manager and/or Village Hall Committee and only known or recommended hirers will be allowed to hold events.
Hirers will not be allowed to sell or purchase any alcohol on the premises unless a Temporary Event Notice is secured.
No users of the village hall will be allowed to carry open or sealed bottles or glasses into the premises nor take open containers of alcoholic or soft drinks from the premises except with prior agreement of the Village Hall Committee for such events as a 'Bring Your Own' event or a wedding with a free bar, as two examples. All bottles and any refuse arising from any event will be removed from the premises the day after the event, at the latest.
The hall will be well maintained by the appointed Maintenance Manager.
The electrical system will be inspected and certified annually.
The maximum occupancy of the hall for events will be 120 standing and 50 seated, in agreement with the Council and Devon Fire and Rescue Service based on fire safety issues, available floor space and the sanitary accommodation available.
All events must finish by 23:00 hours Sunday to Thursday and midnight Friday and Saturday. Any incidence of unsocial behaviour will result in deposits not being refunded and future bookings rejected.
Notices will be put up on the external Village Hall noticeboard and inside the hall requesting that consideration be given for neighbours as they leave the premises.
Hirers will also be requested to have consideration to neighbours when playing recorded music and hosting amplified live music, to include ensuring that doors and windows are kept closed.
Only people known or recommended to the Village Hall Manager and/or Village Hall Committee will be allowed to hire the village hall.
No themes of an adult nature will be allowed in the hall.
