ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
When the hall is hired out the hirers will sign a hiring agreement that sets out their awareness of conditions attached to the hire and the use of the licence, including a responsibility to ensure compliance.
When public events involving live bands or discos are held a minimum of two SIA registered door staff must be employed. When the hall is hired out for private parties the Hall Management Committee shall make a risk assessment to decide whether the hirer should employ SIA registered door staff.
CCTV will be installed, maintained and operated to the satisfaction of the Chief Officer of Police and Local Authority.
Recordings will be maintained for an appropriate period of time (generally one month- but to be agreed with Police & Local Authority).
If the CCTV equipment is inoperative, the Police & Local Authority will be informed as soon as possible and immediate steps will be taken to put the equipment back into action.
A notice will be displayed at the entrance to the premises advising that CCTV is in operation.
CCTV will be registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 with the Information Commissioner.
Irresponsible drinks promotions will not be permitted.
All staff will have received suitable training in licensing law, what to do in an emergency and in general safety precautions.
Bottles will not be sold over the bar.
Regular glass and bottle collection will be undertaken throughout opening hours.
A senior member of staff (manager) will assess the impact of any noisy activities on neighbouring residential premises at the start of the activity/entertainment and periodically throughout the activity/entertainment.
Management will control the sound levels of the music / entertainment.
Staff will check prior to entertainment, and periodically during the entertainment, that all windows and doors are shut.
The noise-limiting device will be set up and maintained in such a manner as to control all sources of amplified music from the premises.
Suitable signage at the exit to request the co-operation of patrons, in particular to make as little noise as possible when leaving the premises.
Patrons will be asked not to stand around talking in the street outside the premises or any car park; and asked to leave the vicinity quickly and quietly.
An announcement will be made prior to closing requesting patrons co-operation in leaving the premises and vicinity as quietly and quickly as possible.
Unaccompanied children under the age of 16 will not be admitted.
Anyone who looks under the age of 21 will be asked to produce proof of identity. Acceptable identity is a passport or a photo driving licence or a proof of age card bearing a PASS (Proof of Age Standards Scheme) hologram.
