ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
All staff will have received suitable training in licensing law, what to do in an emergency and in general safety precautions.
When licensable events are held, regard will be had, as appropriate, to the principles set out in the following documents:-
1. Model National & Standard Conditions of Places of Entertainment and Associated Guidance ISBN 1 904031 11 0.
2. The Event Safety Guide ISBN 0 7176 2453 6.
3. Managing Crowds Safely ISBN 0 7176 1834 X.
4. Guide to Fire Precautions in Existing Places of Entertainment and Like Premises ISBN 0 11 340907 9.
The manager or senior member of staff check the premises prior to opening to ensure there are no risks to patrons and that all safety precautions are in place.
The electrical system, including portable appliances will be inspected and tested annually by a competent person to ensure safety.
All safety certificates and inspection reports will be kept on site and made available for inspection by officers of relevant statutory bodies.
Free drinking water will be available at all times.
The maximum occupancy figures for the premises will be in agreement with the Council and Devon Fire & Rescue based on fire safety issues, available floor space and the sanitary accommodation available.
Management will control the sound levels of the music / entertainment.
A proof of age policy to the satisfaction of the police and the Local Authority will be in place.
