Additional Conditions

• ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  The supply of alcohol is prohibited: -

  a) At a time when there is no designated premises supervisor, or,

  b) At a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence.

  c) Every supply of alcohol shall be made or authorised by the holder of a personal licence.

   

  Any person carrying out security activities on these premises must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority.

   

   

• ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE

   

  All staff will have received suitable training in licensing law, what to do in an emergency and in general safety precautions.

   

  Irresponsible drinks promotions will not be permitted.

   

  The manager or senior member of staff check the premises prior to opening to ensure there are no risks to patrons and that all safety precautions are in place.

   

  The electrical system, including portable appliances will be inspected and tested annually by a competent person to ensure safety.

   

  Where temporary electrical equipment is to be used, a suitable circuit breaker device will be installed to cover this equipment. The circuit breaker should operate at a current not exceeding 30mA and should comply with BS 4293. The device will be tested monthly and tests will be recorded.

   

  The Gas System including appliances will be inspected and tested by a CORGI registered gas engineer annually and a satisfactory Gas Safety Certificate will be obtained.

   

  All safety certificates and inspection reports will be kept on site and made available for inspection by officers of relevant statutory bodies.

   

  A senior member of staff (manager) will assess the impact of any noisy activities on neighbouring residential premises at the start of the activity/entertainment and periodically throughout the activity/entertainment.

   

  Management will control the sound levels of the music / entertainment.

   

  Any person who appears to be aged under 21 will be asked for identification if attempting to purchase alcoholic drinks.

   

  Identification that will be accepted are:  A valid passport, photographic driving licence or approved identification card carrying PASS logo.

   

   

• ANNEX 3 - CONDITIONS ATTACHED AFTER A HEARING BY THE LICENSING AUTHORITY

   

  CCTV will be installed, maintained and operated to the satisfaction of the Chief Officer of Police and the Licensing Authority.

   

  Extra cameras will be added to cover the seating area in the function room and the front entrance of the premises.

   

  A minimum of 14 days CCTV will be captured and held for the Police to use as evidence if required.

   

  Two SIA registered Door Supervisors will be employed whenever live music or disco entertainment is held on the premises.

   

  There shall be no live bands with amplified music.

   

  Noise levels outside the building should not be such to affect the adjacent residents and should be inaudible within their dwellings.

   

  A telephone number should be made available to residents likely to suffer from noise disturbance to alert the licence-holder of any incidents that may occur.  The licence-holder should keep a written log of such incidents.

   

  Patrons to leave the premises quietly and in an orderly manner.

   

  No patrons admitted after 2300 hours from Monday to Saturday.

   

  If, despite all these measures being undertaken, Mid Devon District Council still receives noise complaints, the licence-holder will take other reasonable measures as stipulated by the said Council.
