ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
CCTV will be installed, maintained and operated to the satisfaction of the Chief Officer of Police and Local Authority.
Recordings will be maintained for an appropriate period of time (generally one month- but to be agreed with Police & Local Authority).
If the CCTV equipment is inoperative, the Police & Local Authority will be informed as soon as possible and immediate steps will be taken to put the equipment back into action.
A notice will be displayed at the entrance to the premises advising that CCTV is in operation.
CCTV will be registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 with the Information Commissioner.
Sales staff will be properly trained in those aspects of the job that have an impact on crime and disorder.
If it seems serious disorder is about to break out or already happening in the locality we will take police advice about whether to close until the trouble has subsided.
Knives and glass containers are kept out of the reach of customers.
Suitable signage at the exit to request the co-operation of patrons, in particular to make as little noise as possible when leaving the premises.
Patrons will be asked not to stand around talking in the street outside the premises or any car park; and asked to leave the vicinity quickly and quietly.
Facilities for the collection of litter are provided.
