ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied unless it is paid for before or at the time when it is sold or supplied, except alcohol sold or supplied with and for consumption at a meal supplied at the same time, consumed with the meal and paid for together with the meal.
The CCTV system will be maintained and operated to the satisfaction of the Chief Officer of Police and Local Authority.
All staff will have received suitable training in licensing law, what to do in an emergency and in general safety precautions.
The club will operate in accordance with the rules submitted to the licensing authority.
Entry to the club will be by via a computerised door system.
All guests will be signed in by their hosts.
Instances of disorderly conduct or misconduct will be reported to the committee for consideration of disciplinary action.
Regular risk assessments will be carried out so that preventive and control measures are in place to ensure the safety of members, guests, employees and entertainers whilst on the premises.
The manager or senior member of staff check the premises prior to opening to ensure there are no risks to patrons and that all safety precautions are in place.
All safety certificates and inspection reports will be kept on site and made available for inspection by officers of relevant statutory bodies.
The maximum occupancy figures for the premises will be set in agreement with the Council and Devon Fire & Rescue based on fire safety issues, available floor space and the sanitary accommodation available.
All external doors and windows will be kept shut, other than for access and egress in all rooms when events involving amplified music or speech or other entertainment likely to give rise to noise.
Staff will check prior to entertainment, and periodically during the entertainment, that all windows and doors are shut.
Suitable signage at the exit to request the co-operation of patrons, in particular to make as little noise as possible when leaving the premises.
A senior member of staff (manager) will assess the impact of any noisy activities on neighbouring residential premises at the start of the activity/entertainment and periodically throughout the activity/entertainment.
Management will control the sound levels of the music / entertainment.
Persons under the age of 18 are only allowed in the club if accompanied by an adult. Children and grandchildren of members may be admitted to the snooker room for tuition.
Door control ensures that children seeking admission to the club for any purpose are accompanied by an adult.
Young adults applying for membership must satisfy the committee that they are over 18, if necessary by producing proof of age.
Committee members, the club steward and other members of staff are instructed in the offence provisions of the Licensing Act 2003 relating to alcohol and the protection of children.
Signage is posted at all bars prohibiting the direct or indirect supply or delivery of alcohol to children.
