ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Irresponsible drinks promotions will not be permitted.
A detailed “customer code of conduct” poster will be displayed warning customers that if they act in an inappropriate manner, they could be barred from all licensed premises in the vicinity.
All bottles and glasses will be removed from public areas as soon as practicable when they are finished with.
All staff will have received suitable training in licensing law, what to do in an emergency and in general safety precautions.
CCTV will be installed, maintained and operated to the satisfaction of the Chief Officer of Police and Local Authority.
SIA registered door staff will be on duty when entertainment is provided in the Stable Bar from 2230 until the premises are closed to the public and all customers have left.
Door supervisors will display the correct name badge and will carry proof of registration.
Door supervisors will be used at a ratio to be agreed by the Police and Local Authority, which is currently 1:75.
Any person who appears to be aged under 21 will be asked for identification if attempting to purchase alcoholic drinks.
Identification that will be accepted are: a valid passport, photographic driving licence or approved identification card carrying PASS logo.
No customers will be permitted to take open containers of alcoholic or soft drinks from the premises.
An anti drug policy agreed by the Police and local authority will be in force.
Fire exits are to be kept clear and adequate access for emergency vehicles to be provided at all times.
The fire safety measures with which the premises are provided will be maintained in good working order and their adequacy will be determined on a regular basis.
All safety certificates and inspection reports will be kept on site and made available for inspection by officers of relevant statutory bodies.
The maximum occupancy figures for the premises will be 50 persons in the main bar and 100 persons in the Stable Bar in agreement with the Council and Devon Fire & Rescue based on fire safety issues, available floor space and the sanitary accommodation available.
All external doors and windows will be kept shut, other than for access and egress in all rooms when events involving amplified music or speech or other entertainment likely to give rise to noise.
A senior member of staff (manager) will assess the impact of any noisy activities on neighbouring residential premises at the start of the activity/entertainment and periodically throughout the activity/entertainment.
Management will control the sound levels of the music / entertainment.
Chill Out Time. Music will be reduced half an hour before closing time to allow people to relax, acclimatise and adjust their hearing.
Bottle skips and bins containing cans or bottles will not be emptied outside after closing but will be dealt with the next day during normal office hours.
Suitable signage is to be provided at the exit to request the co-operation of patrons, in particular to make as little noise as possible when leaving the premises.
Bar staff will telephone taxis for customers to avoid the need for people to wait on the street potentially creating noise.
